Privacy Policy — Data Sistah Live Translate

Data Sistah Live Translate is a browser extension that translates the text on a web page into Mexican Spanish on demand. This policy explains what it handles.

What is processed

• Page text you choose to translate. When you click “Translate page,” the visible text is sent over HTTPS to our gateway and then to the LLM provider (OpenRouter) to produce the translation. Translations are kept in a server-side cache keyed by a hash of the text (not tied to your identity) so repeated text is faster and cheaper. We do not build user profiles from page content.
• Your OpenRouter API key (bring-your-own-key). If you enter your own key, it is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.sync) and sent with each translation request solely to authorize the call to OpenRouter on your behalf. It is transmitted over HTTPS, used only for that purpose, and is never logged or stored on our server.

What we do NOT do

No accounts, no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and we do not sell or share your data. We store no personal information.

Third parties

Text (and, if provided, your key) is processed by OpenRouter and the model you select, under their respective privacy terms.
